Ashley Bostic Inducted into DSU's Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society

Dakota State University's Phi Eta Sigma freshmen honor society inducted Ashley Bostic, an elementary education and special education major from Edgerton, MN on Monday, Nov. 7. The induction ceremony included a welcome by DSU president Dr. Doug Knowlton, a dinner, guest speaker Jesse Wise, VP of student services, and induction of new members by Phi Eta Sigma officers.

Phi Eta Sigma is a national honor society for college freshmen founded by three distinguished Phi Beta Kappa professors at the University of Illinois on March 22, 1923, to encourage and recognize high scholastic achievement among members of the freshman classes.

All first-year students are eligible to join who have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale at the close of any full-time curricular period during their first year. For more information on Phi Eta Sigma, see www.phietasigma.org
